Why export through Soil Depot

Your surplus is someone else’s solution.

Instead of paying disposal fees or letting material sit on site, we connect your excess soil with active construction projects that need it. You clear your site faster. The receiving project gets material at a better price. Everyone moves forward.

We find a destination

We actively match export sites with import projects across our network. You are not paying to dump. Your soil goes to work on another job.

Trucks dispatched on your schedule

Loading happens when it works for your site. We coordinate truck queues around your grading schedule, concrete pours, and inspection windows.

Clear pricing, no surprises

You get upfront pricing per cubic yard. No hidden haul fees, no disposal markups, and no invoice surprises after the last truck rolls out.

Materials we accept for export

Clean construction soil. Four material types.

We accept fill dirt, topsoil, select fill, and sand from active construction sites. Material must be clean: no debris, no contamination, no mixed waste. If you are unsure whether your material qualifies, describe it in the form and we will help you figure it out.

We do not accept hazardous material, demolition debris, concrete rubble, or mixed waste. Those require a different disposal pathway.

Fill Dirt

General excavation material, clean of debris

Topsoil

Organic-rich surface layer from stripping operations

Select Fill

Engineered material with known PI and moisture

Sand

Clean sand from excavation or over-dig

What info we need from you

The more you tell us, the faster we move.

  • Material type (fill dirt, topsoil, select fill, or sand)
  • Estimated volume in cubic yards. Use our soil calculator if needed
  • Site address and access details (gate codes, hours, flaggers)
  • Your preferred loading schedule and any hard deadlines
  • Whether the material has been tested (PI, moisture, contamination)
  • Who is responsible for loading. Does your crew handle it, or do you need us to arrange it
  • Site contact name and phone number

If you have geotech reports or soil test results available, include them when you submit the form. It helps us match your material with the right import site faster.

How export works

Four steps from surplus to cleared.

1

Tell us about your soil

Submit the form below with material type, estimated volume, site location, and timeline. We respond same day.

2

We match a destination

We check our network for active import sites that need your material type. Closer matches mean lower haul costs and faster turnaround for you.

3

Trucks are scheduled

We coordinate a truck queue around your site schedule. Loading windows, gate hours, and daily truck caps are all set in advance.

4

Material moves out

Trucks load, haul, and deliver to the matched import site. We manage dispatch and site communication through completion.

Example projects

What a soil export job looks like.

Export logistics vary by volume, material, and haul distance. Here are two recent large-scale scenarios.

New Construction

Commercial site development, Frisco, TX

A general contractor breaking ground on a new commercial development in Frisco needed to move 40,000 cubic yards of excavated fill dirt off site within a tight 3-week window. We matched the material with multiple active import sites across the DFW metro and ran coordinated daily truck queues with staggered loading to keep the excavation on schedule without bottlenecking site traffic.

Detention Pond

Detention pond excavation, Houston, TX

A developer excavating a new detention pond in Houston generated 15,000 cubic yards of mixed fill and select material that needed to be removed on a rolling basis as digging progressed. We coordinated export to two receiving sites within a 12-mile radius and managed daily dispatch to keep pace with the excavation crew, clearing the full volume in under 2 weeks.
