Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 14, 2026

Soil Depot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website soil-depot.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our site or use our services.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you submit a form on our website, such as a quote request or a contact form, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, project location, and project details such as material type and estimated volume.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website. Some of this is collected by Google Analytics 4. The rest is collected by our own first-party analytics, which runs on systems we operate at hq.soil-depot.com and is never shared with an advertising network. We use your IP address to work out an approximate location and to tell visitors apart, but we do not store the address itself: it is replaced with a one-way hash that changes every day.

Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services that may collect data: Google Analytics 4 for website traffic analysis; Google Fonts for typography rendering; LiteSpeed Cache for website performance optimization; and Fluent Forms for form processing. Our own analytics and calculator records are not third-party services; they run on systems we operate.

What the Calculators Save

When you use the Soil Depot calculators, we save the estimate you build and the information that went into it. That includes the site outline you draw and where it is located, the depths, elevations, layers and quantities you enter, the material and truck selections you make, the boring logs you type, the results the calculator returns, and the reports, exports and share links you generate. When you import a file, such as a survey, a design file, a point list or a plan sheet, we record its name, size and format. We do not keep the file itself.

We save this whether or not you go on to contact us, and whether or not you finish. We use it to follow up on projects, to price and plan work, to improve the calculators, and to decide which tools to build next. See Your Choices below if you would rather we did not keep it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and provide quotes for soil delivery, export, or brokerage services; to coordinate logistics including material sourcing, trucking, and scheduling; to communicate with you about your project or our services; to improve our website and user experience; and to comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting business (such as email hosting and analytics providers), and with logistics partners as necessary to fulfill your service request. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Form submission data is retained for the duration of any active project relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for business record purposes. Calculator designs and the site analytics behind them are retained for up to 13 months, after which they are deleted automatically.

Your Rights Under Texas Law

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), Texas residents may have certain rights regarding their personal data, including the right to confirm whether their data is being processed, to access their personal data, to correct inaccuracies, to delete personal data, and to obtain a copy of their data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.

Your Choices

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it automatically. The calculators keep working as usual, and we stop saving the design and the jobsite coordinates. We continue to count anonymous usage, such as which calculator was opened and roughly how large the job was.

Ask us to delete it. You can ask us to delete anything you built, at any time, by emailing Tyler@soil-depot.com. Tell us roughly when you used the tool and where the job was so we can find it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and analyze site traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the website.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
